Biggleswade Rugby Club under 14's had a recent charity fundraiser and our sister company Henlow Building Supplies at Stratton Business Park funded one of the prizes which was auctioned to the sum of £120, which will go to the Under 14's tour fund.
The winners of the fishing session prize at our lakes have the services of professional angling coach Alan Andrews from the YouTube channel 'In the Swim'. Alan has provided all the tackle and the bait, which is from Peg no. 1 who have recently launched their new range and were featured in Angling Times in August.
Alan was down at their reserved swim with Duncan nice and early this morning and was joined later by Charlie.
It's great to see young people enjoying fishing with us and we do find that because of our excellent facilities (24/7 heated showers, wet rooms, toilets and a well stocked shop for snacks and drinks etc) we attract a lot of young women as well as lads coming in with parents and grand parents or by themselves to enjoy an inexpensive day out in comfort.
Our campsite is also very well staffed and we have ANPR controlled access which gives all of our visitors an added layer of security whilst they are enjoying our site.
We were very proud to be supporting the Biggleswade Rugby Club under14's tour fund in our own small way with Henlow Building Supplies and 'In the Swim' and we hope Duncan and Charlie will carry on fishing and we're sure we'll see Alan down at our lakes mentoring more young people in the future.
