...and breathe.

Campsite News:

It's almost the end of the summer, and, although we are open 365 days a year we are now entering our calmer times. We've had a fantastic summer holiday period with the campsite reverbarating to the sound of families having fun as our peak period has been in full swing. The Splat team have kept the young ones busy with FREE activity sessions every weekday and the Free goat walking and animal petting along with the FREE BANGO rides have been as popular as ever.

The new FREE games room has been a great asset for old and young campers alike and our weekends have been taken up with the FREE Scavenger hunt and FREE Petanque competitions for the chance of winning a FREE two day camping break for up to four adults.

The FREE bouncy castle, Bingo, Quizzes, marshmallow burn ups, lakeside walks, etc have also helped to kept everyone occupied.

Alan from Abacus events has once again proved to be the number one kids (and adults) disco/party provider with his FREE two hour kids extravaganza each weekend through the holidays.

Fishing news:

The fishing lakes have been very busy throughout the year and seem to have benefited from our closed season which will be repeated this winter to allow our stock to recover and let us continue with planned maintenance.

The closed season will be 02/12/2019 - 17/02/2020

All dates are inclusive.

From the start of the 2020 season, no bank sticks that are driven into the ground will be permitted on any lake.

No fires/firepits or any BBQ including disposable BBQ s are to be used on any lake. Please use either gas or primus stoves.

Social Media:

Our Facebook page is going from strength to strength and is the place to find out the latest news, so be sure to 'like' and 'follow' the page to keep right up to date with what's going on.

We are also very happy to post your own pictures which can be sent to us by e-mail to info@henlowbridgelakes.co.uk or they can be sent via the Facebook page.

Please add a few details and they may feature in the new picture gallery which we will be adding to our website soon as well as Facebook!

Festival News:

The annual Henlow Tribute Festival will be in it's 5th year in 2020 and ticket sales are exceeding expectations, but we are still holding early bird prices until December 24th 2019, so be sure to book your space soon to take advantage of the cost saving.

Here are a couple of clips from this years festival...

... and we will be announcing this years acts as we post new blog posts, but the first act for 2020 is the Las Palmas 6, a Madness tribute act.

Halloween:

The next big event at the lakes is our annual spooky shenanigans on the weekend of Friday October 25th and Saturday 26th.

Lot's of FREE activities and EVERYONE will be in fancy dress, all the cabins, lodges, caravans and tents will be decorated by the guests to a frighteningly high standard and prizes will be given for the best dressed, so book soon for the last few spaces and get ready to party!

Autumn/Winter season:

Our campsite is open, and stays busy throughout the year including Christmas, with our modern facilities (The Hayward block is fully heated) and if you don't want to bring your van or tent our luxury Scandinavian Lodges and newly improved lakeside cabins proving to be a great reason to choose us for your country getaway.

We are also only a few hundred yards from the mainline station at Arlesey so Christmas shopping trips into London are very easy, as it's only about 45 mins to St Pancreas/Kings Cross stations.

The proximity of the station seems to be a great draw for our Dutch and German visitors who, along with Austrian, Swiss, French and other European travellers favour our site in winter for their London trips, as well as for their summer holidays.
