First 2020 Festival act announced.
Updated: Jan 4
As we continue to bring you the top tribute acts in the UK we are pleased to announce the return of the Los Palmas 6 to the Henlow Festival for 2020, and we also have news of our charity total and the summer special below.
LP6 Sax player Steve Turner played sax with Madness for eight years and recorded three albums with them. Both Lee Thompson and Woody from Madness have played with Los Palmas 6 making them the most accurate and authentic Madness Tribute Band on the circuit.
The other musicians in LP6 are also world class musicians with experience in world tours and major festivals and have also played and recorded with other Ska and Punk giants such as Bad Manners, The UK SUBS, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, The Hotknives and Lee Thompson Ska orchestra.
Initially LP6 consisted of 6 members (which is where their name came from - a twist on the Madness single, 'The Return Of The Los Palmas 7') and in 2006 they grew to the fully authentic 7 piece by adding their very own Chas Smash on vocals and trumpet. They play all the classic hits and some superb B-sides.
"Our second time at the festival although I’ve visited about 6 times in total! The site is immaculate, staff are brilliant, atmosphere is great! My family are regular campers but this is hands down the best site we’ve visited. Already booked the festival for next year" - Melissa Smith.
"Have stayed here to many times to remember now, beautifully kept site, fabulous staff, very family friendly, facilities are always clean and tidy. Can highly recommend their tribute festival, just back today next visit is in 3 weeks." - Lorraine Kennedy.
The 2020 festival is already proving very popular and our bookings show that 2020 will be bigger and better, with many more acts to be announced as we go through summer, so keep an eye on all our social media and the website.
Early bird prices will be held at £70 per adult and £5 per child for a camping space Thursday, Friday and Saturday night until December 24th 2019, what an excellent Christmas bargain for your loved ones.
Each year we have a nominated charity which we support on the comedy night and 2019 was the Sue Ryder St John's Hospice in Moggerhanger which has benefited from the deep pockets of our guests. Our colleague Jo McCandless organised the raffle tickets and prizes which were drawn and presented after the last comedy act of the night and the generosity of our campers and the comedy night visitors meant that Jo finished up with a cheque for £1,307 to present to Hayley Webb from the Sue Ryder Charity.
The summer offer has now had to be limited to the 5 day offer only, as all the 7 day breaks have been booked up already.
What a bargain:
Five nights camping from Sunday to Friday for 2 adults, up to four children, one vehicle and electric hook up if required for only £130. Our campsite and lakes is an ideal venue for your summer break, with lots of activities for the kids all summer and great walks and a relaxing countryside feeling, but still within reach of the capital by train from the nearby mainline station at Arlesey.
Great fun for all the family, and did we mention all the FREE activities?
£130 for 5 nights, Sunday to Friday, an absolutely fabulous family bargain.

John and Susanne are the most incredible people you're ever likely to meet. We rocked up for the tribute festival and when I unravelled the tent I realised i forgot the tent poles!! Susanne then lent us their tent so my wife, 2 kids and I could enjoy the weekend. What an angel! Beautiful place wonderful people, great weekend. Can't wait to come back. Date of stay: July 2019
