TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU BOOK ONLINE OR PAY A DEPOSIT. PLEASE PRINT THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

 

 

ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES.

All guests to report to reception on arrival. If late, please phone the emergency number displayed on the main gate.

All caravans/trailers tents must have the same number plate as the towing vehicle and may not be brought onto, or left on site by a third party.

All vehicles/caravans/motorhomes etc on site must have valid insurance.

A maximum of 4 paying visitors per unit/pitch at any time.

Vehicle registration numbers must be provided at Reception on arrival and appropriate fees paid, to allow ANPR site access.
A charge of £7.00 per adult & £4.00 per child will be payable next day for any guest not leaving before 22:30. ANPR will not work until overnight guests have paid these fees & the system has been updated.

All day guests must be off-site by 22:30 at the latest. Exit & Access will be denied by ANPR after this time.

Guests’ vehicles must be parked in the designated parking areas.

All fees are payable prior to pitching, unless otherwise agreed.

Campers must only pitch where HBL staff direct them to.

All units must be pitched at least 6 metres from neighbouring units. (Vehicles may be parked between units, providing that a 3 metre space is left within the 6 metre gap).

Vacated pitches must be cleared of all property and rubbish.

 

 

By making payment you agree to these terms.

 

NO GROUPS OF PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 25.

THE BASIC PITCH INCLUDES ONE UNIT, ONE VEHICLE, TWO ADULTS AND UP TO 4 CHILDREN UNDER 16.

GAZEBOS, FIREPITS AND PICNIC BENCHES ETC MUST ALL BE KEPT WITHIN THE CONFINES OF YOUR DESIGNATED PITCH.

ALL EXTRAS AND VISITORS ARE CHARGEABLE AT PUBLISHED RATES.

PETS BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT.

 

 

THE BOOKING PROCESS.

To secure a booking a 20% deposit (25% for cabins and lodges) needs to be paid at the time of booking unless you will be arriving within 2 weeks, where the full balance will need to be paid.
The full balance must then be paid 2 weeks prior to arrival.
An 
email reminder will be sent with a link to allow you to pay the balance of your account.

 

CANCELLATIONS.

A minimum 2 weeks notice period is required for any cancellation.

More than 2 weeks’ notice – You will lose your 20% deposit. This is non-refundable.

Less than 2 weeks’ notice – You will be responsible for the full balance, no refund of any monies will be made.

CANCELLATIONS BY US.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a booking due to reasons beyond our control, we will endeavour to find suitable alternative space, but if we are unsuccessful in doing so, we will only be liable to refund monies already paid by you or offer you an alternative date.

 

 

RALLY, FAMILY, OR LEISURE EVENTS.

Enquiries welcomed from organisers of registered exempt Camping and Caravanning Clubs or family organised events.

Event Tents & Marquees catered for.

We do not allow Hen, Stag, or similar groups which are unsuitable for a family campsite.

A ‘quiet’ policy is operated between 22.30 and 7.00 on the whole site.

 

GENERAL SITE RULES.

All instructions given by HBL staff must be followed at all times.

By booking, you agree to prevent any member of your party from causing a nuisance or disturbance to fellow guests or staff in any way on site. In the event of such a problem arising HBL LTD reserve the right for you to vacate the site on demand without compensation payment.

Rubbish, wastewater and chemical waste to be disposed of in the designated area’s only. In the event of a problem, please contact a member of staff.

Pets are welcomed, provided they are controlled and on leads at all times within the camping and fishing areas. NO EXCEPTIONS.

All dogs must be tethered when on pitches. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Faeces must be removed and placed in the bins provided immediately.

No dogs to be left unattended outside on pitches.

Children must be supervised at all times.

Noise must be kept to a reasonable level and ceased by 22.30. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Generators are not allowed on the site.

All vehicles to maintain a speed of less than 5mph on all site areas. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Campers to observe the country code, and site rules at all times.

Any complaints to be reported to the HBL staff immediately.

Lake and river fishing is available at the published tariff.
Everyone fishing must hold an Environment Agency Rod Licence and follow our FISHING RULES.

 

DISRUPTIVE GUEST POLICY

Henlow Bridge Lakes & Riverside would respectfully like to make customers aware of our policy towards disruptive behaviour.

 

We strive to be one of the best family-friendly sites in the UK. Disruptive guests can spoil this for the majority which is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Excessive noise, especially between the quiet times of 23:00 - 07:00, foul or abusive language and speeding on site are the main areas of concern, but any action which is deemed to be inconsiderate will be resolved by the following procedure.

 

  • A verbal explanation and warning by HBL staff will be given to any customer who breaches Site Rules to the detriment of the site, property or other customers.

  • If the behaviour does not improve following the first verbal explanation & warning, then a senior member of staff will accompany the HBL staff member and a FINAL verbal explanation and a warning will be given.

  • If the behaviour does not improve after the final warning, the disruptive individual and, or groups will be asked to leave the site immediately or the following morning – whichever HBL staff deem more appropriate at the time.

  • If guests do not leave as instructed the Police will be called to eject them.

  • HBL will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse towards any member of HBL staff or fellow guests. Anyone found to be using threatening behaviour will be asked to leave the site immediately, and the Police will be called.

  • No refunds will be given to disruptive guests who are ejected from the site.

By paying for your holiday you have agreed to understand and be bound by this policy.

Watch your speed. Do you want the death of a child on your conscience!

Takeaway & grocery delivery drivers need to be met at the main gates/reception, no access will be given to the site. 

 

 

HBL LTD CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR ACCIDENT SUSTAINED FROM VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT, THE WATERS OR FOOTPATH, WHILST CAMPING, VISITING OR FISHING FROM THE SITE. 
HBL LTD RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REQUEST ANY PERSON BREACHING THE CAMPING OR FISHING RULES TO LEAVE THE SITE.
