2023 Season Newsletter

It's that time of of year..

The kids are back at school. Autumn has arrived and we want to share what a fantastic summer season we've had this year, and boy do we have a lot share!

Although we are open all year round, the bank holidays and summer holidays are our peak season and are this is when we run our FREE entertainment

programme for families who are camping / glamping with us!

We began the summer season with our annual Tribute Festival in early July, seeing fantastic Tribute acts of U2, Dire Straits, Paloma Faith and more!

Maybe you can spot yourself in our Festival 2023 gallery or Videos by punkrocksal!

Our ever popular Bango trailer rides, Petanque competitions, Scavenger hunt competitions (with prizes!) returned this season along with the amazing Alan from Abacus events who has yet again been another great hit this year with his spectacular 2 hour family disco at the Roundel!

This year we also hosted local artists Dave Cass, Acoustic Al, Andy Mason, Something Else and The Peter Thompson Project playing their live music at the Roundel, along with Cash Bingo raising funds for our chosen charity Children With Cancer UK.

Our next fun-filled weekend is the spook-tacular Halloween at Henlow Bridge Lakes!

We are still taking bookings, so don't miss out, come and stay for a spell! Friday 27th October 2023.

Midweek during the summer we were joined by Becky & her team @ Teaching Talons Mobile Zoo and the amazing ladies from Imajica Theatre This was the second year we have ran these free events and everyone had a ball!

Teaching Talons brought in all sorts of small mammals, invertebrates and reptiles to meet our camping guests! Whilst Imajica Theatre whirled our younger guests into the wild west with 'Smilin' Sam's Cactus Day Fun' show and workshops!

Again this year, the public footpath surrounding the site has been home to the Henlow Bridge Lakes Park Run and has been particularly busy on Saturdays during the summer! Visit www.parkrun.org.uk/henlowbridgelakes to get involved this winter!

Finally. In angling news, the lakes have been very busy this season with lots of happy anglers. If you keep up with our Facebook & Instagram pages, you will have seen our regular angling updates on Fridays.

The lakes swim platforms remain much healthier due to the rule we introduced in 2020 discontinuing the use of bank sticks, therefore our lakes will be open again this winter season 2023/2024.

See you soon!
