Jordans's Lake

Jordan's Lake covers 4.9 acres of water with two mature central islands which were formed when the 2002 excavations were carried out. The lake is surrounded by reed beds and tree lined banks. To the north of the lake there is a fishing conservation area created to encourage fish spawning. The lake is predominantly stocked with carp and tench and during its first season in 2005 the lake produced carp catches up to 190lb in a day's session. Several fish of 18 lb plus have been caught. At the time of printing, tench of 3lb have been taken. With the original fish spawning since introduction to the lake, there is an abundance of fish giving the serious anglers the opportunity of larger fish, or the pleasure angler the chance to savour the smaller fish available.
